Constructed with Nova Cycles Road tubing, 4130 tubing, and 1080 tubing with custom nickel-plated stem and wooden hull.  Designed for cargo loading and passenger riding.

This is a special project commissioned by the Best-Dad-Ever, who wanted to ride in Brooklyn (now in Alaska!) with his daughter and their day-trip kit.  Working from typical Dutch cargo designs for front end loading, and passenger safety models, this 3-speed cargo bike was built to be agile, stable, and sturdy for two passengers, plus cargo loading.  The custom wooden "hull" is securely bolted in 8 locations to the steel base frame, effectively adding to the structure and strength of the framing in combination.  Cross chest and lap safety belts are integrated as well as a flip-top seat for secure storage.  The stem is custom made to elevate the riders posture, and is rear facing with Zero Off-Set to leave ample room for the passengers helmet-protected head.  (No other project I've built has produced as many photos with huge smiles on happy people as this one.)
