No other bicycle of my making has gotten such an outstanding level of reaction as Winged Victory.  From the first post showing it's construction, the work involved in this bike received an immediate outpouring of praise from the cycling and frame-building community.  Having acheived something of a cult following before it was even completed, Winged Victory has gone on to win the award of "Best New Builder" for Porter Cycles at the North American Handbuilt Bike Show (NAHBS) in Sacramento CA 2019, as well as a special award from The Radavist for "Most Comprehensive Artisan Award".

This Art Deco inspired work of Art was inspired by, and built for Anya Sapoznicova, co-founder, Creative Director, and Performer of The House of YES in Brooklyn, NY.  I wanted to build a bike that embodied the inspirational power of Anya's performance work and personality, a bicycle worthy of the stage and limelight of a true impressario.  Named after the famous sculpture in the Louvre of the same name, the winged motif that runs throughout this bicycle recall the power and poise of Victory personified.

The bicycle is constructed from Columbus Life tubing, featuring all custom fabricated lugs, matching stem, stainless rack, and Gold Dust paint work, all produced by Porter Cycles, in Brooklyn New York.

A booklet is available showing off the "making-of" process of constructing this iconic bicycle.
